On July 22, Chile's Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously approved the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), signed with the United Arab Emirates in 2024.

This treaty - the first between Chile and a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country - represents a milestone in the bilateral relationship, with key provisions on tariffs, investment, government procurement, services, digital trade and economic cooperation.
