Domingo Valdés is part of the Tax Practice of Arteaga Gorziglia. He specializes in tax consulting to domestic and foreign companies, corporate and family planning, as well as in reorganization operations and purchase and sale of companies.

  • Advised Sumitomo Chemical, a leader in crop protection, on the sale for approximately US$100 million of the Pace business unit to Agrofresh, a company dedicated to offering pre- and post-harvest solutions.
  • Advising high net worth families in the restructuring of their businesses and holdings in Chile and abroad; generational transfer; and inheritance tax matters.
  • Advised several companies, belonging to different economic sectors, in obtaining the refund of VAT paid during the construction period of their projects in Chile.
  • Advice to exporters on how to obtain the VAT refund associated with their export activity.
  • Advising multiple domestic and foreign companies in their day-to-day tax matters and those associated with particular projects.
  • Advising several local and international companies in their defense in tax audits before the Internal Revenue Service and in tax lawsuits.
